This is, in fact a very good beginner loom for small kids to learn the basics of weaving. I&#8217;ll use a tapestry needle to do a simple over-under pattern to begin weaving a mug rug. These make great, inexpensive gifts which can be matched with a coffee cup and packet of hot chocolate or coffee for a special person on your list.</p>
