In the final segment of the Broom Making Tutorial, I’ll show you how to do the weaving around the base of the broom stalks. After the weaving, you will end with one more row of stitches. Leave a long tail of the waxed linen so that you can tie on embellishments or string beads. These can be changed seasonally to match your home decor. In the third segment of the Broom Making tutorial, I will show you how to stitch the brush part of the broom stalks. The technique is identical to the first set of stitches, but you won’t be going through the stalks to do this.

I’ll also show you how to string the broom stalks around the broom handle and fasten using a stitching method through the stalks and around to fasten the first set of stitches.
